As Good As It Gets
... View MoreThis is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
... View MoreThe acting in this movie is really good.
... View MoreThis movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.
... View MoreThis film was far better than I expected. With a unique plot that embraces our changing society, 'Every Day' feels like a breath of fresh air in the teenage romance genre. While it does conform to some of the stereotypical conventions, it's fantasy elements allow it to feel different and therefore more interesting than many romance films. Saying that, it's not fantastic as it is rather generically shot, the plot becomes fairly predictable, and it is rather forgettable. Still, it was entertaining while it lasted and paced well enough to never let you feel bored. 6/10
... View MoreIt is a smooth movie, the story is not chaotic, and it is not cheesy at all, as I expected it to be. Also, thankfully, it is not really a classical teenage movie. It is very pleasant to watch, the acting is good, the movie has good quality overall, and the story is quite nicely told. I am not a huge fan of the ending scene but I guess it is ok, for an ok film.
... View MoreBased on David Levithan's acclaimed New York Times bestseller, Every Day tells the story of Rhiannon, a 16-year old girl who falls in love with a mysterious soul named "A" who inhabits a different body every day. Feeling an unmatched connection, Rhiannon and A work each day to find each other, not knowing what or who the next day will bring. Every Day is a film that takes the romantic element to a whole new level and it doesn't mean that it's good to be honest, i was bored early on from the movie and despite some familiar faces it doesn't hit the dramatic part that it might have hoped it would. I recommend 'Midnight Sun' to be honest!!! (3/10)
... View MorePersonally I believe if you're to base a movie off of a book it should at least seem like, oh I don't know, you read the book. I read both Another Day and Every Day and literally was so lost watching this movie from almost the beginning. I get that you can't get everything exactly right but there was a lot more that could have been done to match the book than there was. I hated this movie. I love both the books. What a shame.
