The embassy in "Embassy" is the American one in Rome, and this easy-to-take pilot for a prospective series concerns the various problems faced by the staff, from criminals (Richard Masur) to an ambitious new employee who's after Mimi Rogers' job and boyfriend (Nick Mancuso). The movie was actually shot in Rome, which helps; though it might not have lasted too long had it gone to a series (witness what happened to "The American Embassy"), you won't resent viewing it in the afternoon slot or whenever. Nice Gerald Fried theme as well.
