It is not deep, but it is fun to watch. It does have a bit more of an edge to it than other similar films.

I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.

a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.

The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.

This movie is a mish-mash of B-movie elements. You have time travel, you have cyborgs, you have Denise Crosby Side-Boob. So the plot is a mad scientist intends to travel back in time and use his advanced technology to remake the Roman Empire in his own image. He uses time traveling cyborg John Doe, who rebels against his programming and finds Denise Crosby to enlist her help. They are joined by a bad Indiana Jones knockoff and a worse Kung Fu knockoff. But as the sum of its parts, it's kind of a fun movie to watch. Considering they had no budget and few good actors, they kind of did okay with it. Enjoy it for what it is, B-movie 1980's cheese.

Wow, what a perfect Saturday afternoon B-movie! It has that very rare quality of B-movies, in that is is both aware and unaware of its campy status. Seriously, as the amazingly varied collection of characters adds up (river-rat, scientist, robot, ninja, cavemen, Roman soldiers, and on) you will never be bored. The special effects are just cheap enough to make you smile, but not so cheap that you won't feel satisfied. And there's a nice finish that really rounds out the whole experience. There is a lot to like, for kids or B-movie lovers, but somehow it never degenerates into the lesser-desirable qualities of the "so bad it's good" genre. It is an honest and successful attempt at comic-book entertainment. And really, you have to see that Mobile Unit in action! How cool is that?!?!

I think, this movie and not "Plan 9 from Outer Space" is the worst movie of all times. ("Plan 9" is also bad, of course.) " Eliminators" is stupid, cheap, illogical and full of continuity gaps and really bad special effects. The whole story is just cheesy. And those references to "Terminator 2"... it's just unfair. Not to speak of the weak attempts giving the characters emotional depth... How can anyone do such a crab? And it's also hard to believe for me, that Denise Crosby is in it. (Even though, some "Next Generation" episodes aren't much better.) I hope, Bing Crosby, her grandfather (!), will never see that movie in afterlife. If it would be possible, I would give it 0 points from 10.

This is one of the great movies of the 80s in MY collection that I think about all the time. Some minor spoilersI saw this movie only a couple times in the past but those two times I was grateful because I didn`t know what I was in store for.I just love the cyborg guy and his arch rival. The special effects is some of the coolest I have ever seen.I loved it when Roy Dotrice shot the lightning bolts out of his hands and the woman,Bayou Betty, wow is she manly, boy she is something in it.I just loved the big boat chase in this film.I wish I could buy this movie this very minute but Hopefully it`ll be on video very soon.I won`t pass it up and I hope you don`t either.
