Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.

This film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.

From the point of view of the spectator, you become part of the scene forgetting there is a camera. It's incredible to see how all the characters in the film feel comfortable with the camera and are able to show themselves naturally. The spontaneity is unique and emotive. The children transmit strong messages of their reality that come through with humor and dignity. Despite their precarious life, they are able to smile, laugh, and believe in love and in the hope that dreams come true. We all dream and wish for a better world; this film shows a reality in Nicaragua, but this reality is in many parts of our world. It shows negative aspect of the human nature that many struggle to get away or accept it in resignation. Everyone should watch this movie and become aware and more sensitive to such realities.
