Purely Joyful Movie!
... View Moreone of my absolute favorites!
... View MoreThis movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.
... View MoreThe film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
... View MoreI'm a big fan of Eric and Ramzy but I can't believe I've spent money on a ticket for this movie. In fact, I'm afraid I've paid twice for this piece of junk: once when I've bought a ticket and once as a taxpayer: I wouldn't be surprised if public fundings to support french art (doh!) were granted to produce it. Poor jokes, gross humor, I might have smiled once during the whole film. Most expensive smile in my life. If I could set a mark lower than 1, I would have gladly done it.Don't waste your time watching this movie, buy a copy of "La tour montparnasse infernale" instead !
... View MoreThe "James Bond spoof" has been done so many times by now that it should be considered a genre by itself, and "Double Zero" has very little that's fresh to offer. Do not think for a moment that because this is a French production it has any more sophistication or wit than, say, Leslie Nielsen's "Spy Hard" - it doesn't. It does have a glossy look and large-scale "megalomaniac villain" sets that recall those of such Bond films as "The Spy Who Loved Me" and "Moonraker", but nothing very funny happens inside them. The highlights are: 1) Plenty of fighting girls that I wanted to see more of (the fight on the beach is terrific), 2) A digitized horny rabbit (you'll see), and 3) The villain's uncanny resemblance to a younger version of Alan Rickman. ... View MoreYou know, french humor is very special. You have to be french to understand and to like our movies. The two main actors are comics and they are very successful in France... The movie has a real sense: to prove that to stupid guys can save the world, but they won't do it on purpose. It is exactly the opposite of the US films where everybody is wonderful and intelligent... The guide line shows that not everybody is great and can make everything he wants. It is the contrary of the American Dream, and that's why most people that are now guided by that dream, don't like this film You should watch "The Simpsons", and if you find a sense to that, you'll find a sense to "Double Zero".
... View MoreI saw the DVD release of this movie a few days ago, and although it has spectacular scenes, effects, sets, etc, its a very bad film. Bad directing, plot, script Bad anonymous actors (not to mention ugly in a bad way) and bad editing. You get no sense of a movie. Its like video-clips glued together. Not to mention that the actors look like they are reading their lines, and try to be funny. A bad copy of James Bond, Charlies Angels, and various other films. I wonder how Warner Bros. approved such a film. Total disappointment. Not recommended.
