This movie is the proof that the world is becoming a sick and dumb place
... View MoreAfter playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.
... View MoreGreat example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
... View MoreJust intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?
... View MoreIf you've enjoyed Polanski's "Carnage" here you'll find a similar stage performance with a little more comedy and uninhibited characters.2 couples of friends unexpectedly spend a night talking about their lives (or rather arguing and hurting each other) as a consequence of an affair involving one of them. Despite 5-10% of the film is a little weak from a writing and/or acting perspective (which is fine given the intensity of the dialogue and the width of topics), the rest is quite enjoyable, interesting and realistic. If you'd like to see your worst self in a mirror, and enjoy how bad, miserable or funny you would sound, give it a try. If you believe that your life is empty, inauthentic and it's too late to do anything about that, give it a try: you'll feel better. If you believe that your life is well ordered and goes on according to plan, avoid attempting to answer the questions that raise during the view: you'd likely ruin your peace of mind.Good job.
