Detroit Rock City Trailers

In 1978, a Kiss concert was an epoch-making event. For the three teen fans in Detroit Rock City getting tickets to the sold-out show becomes the focal point of their existence. They'll do anything for tickets -- compete in a strip club's amateur-night contest, take on religious protesters, even rob a convenience store!

There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

This movie is so great and I don't even like KISS. :D It is the summer of 1978 and four young teens will stop at nothing to see their favorite band of all time....KISS......But when Jam's mom who is a religious Christian fanatic, burns their KISS tickets with her cigarettes, their problems are only starting. The movie is comparable to 'I Wanna Hold Your Hand' (1978) and 'Rock 'n' Roll High School' (1979). There's a lot of hilarious scenes in this film and even some romance between Jam and Beth. The movie soundtrack has great 1970's hard rock music from bands such as Van Halen, Marilyn Manson, Cheap Trick, The Donnas, and The Runaways among many more songs that couldn't be included in the soundtrack CD.Everything about this movie is great and is absolutely hilarious, it has a excellent story, awesome characters, a very funny script and beautiful women Even if you hate the band KISS and/or heavy metal music in general, still see this movie!I give Detroit Rock City an 10/10

I saw this film last night and I have to say, it is the best comedy I have seen since The Dictator.I love how everything is so simply put together. The story, characters, music score, scenes, actors and humor. It is all put together so well. Edward Furlong and all of the other actors were excellent in their roles.I laughed most of the time when the boys caused accidental trouble on the road or at the concert. There's really not much to say about this film because I love it so much. What I can say is that if you love the actors who portray the four boys, KISS, the plot where they are determined to get into a concert and never give up, and stereotypical kids getting high and drunk, having sex and loving to rock hard to KISS music, this film is definitely for you. I know it was for me! MEGA 10/10 film right here!

I wrote this with the least amount of spoilers possible. This movie is one of the funniest I've seen and breaks most of the clichés in this type of films. The story is about 4 friends who have a tribute band of KISS and the tickets to the best show in their young lives: Detroit Rock City. But the main villain, the mother of the drummer burns the precious tickets and the guys have their world destroyed. Every time they have an opportunity to get the tickets something goes wrong and everything in this movie gets wrong for the guys. In the final act of the movie the guys are desperate for the tickets and they have one epic showdown to get them. IThe music is great, the jokes and scenes are hilarious and the conflicts gives you the chills (If you're a fan of KISS).This one's a must see for Rock fans and those who like films like Bill & Ted or Superbad.

I first had the chance to watch this movie on Fox some years ago. I didn't watch it when it came out in theaters mainly because I didn't have a "Huge" concert culture. I was about to see Metallica and after that, my life changed and concerts have been since then a very important feature in my personal entertainment. The movie deals with a very fun and filled with adrenaline road trip that ends up in a blasting concert by KISS.The situations are very funny and best of all, accurate because if you've been in the same situation; you know it happens! Even the tragedies. The humor is 100% black and works perfectly for these kind of movies. This should be a cult classic in some years.
