This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows

Everything about this movie is bad. I think that the acting was it's best quality and even that was some of the worst I've ever seen. Exaggerated and lacking in every way, the script dragged on using many scenes of only music to lazily show she was becoming more and more distraught. Throughout the entire film i was waiting for her to punch the leader of the bully girls in the face, which would actually solve the problem or at least make her feel empowered instead of pathetic.I made this IMDB account specifically to review this movie because I disliked it so much

Too many reviewers here have already said everything that can be said about this terrible attempt at a morality tale, but I just had to throw my hat in the ring on it. This "movie" is a train wreck. Every character is a grossly exaggerated caricature and has skin thinner than tracing paper. The only way to enjoy or appreciate it is to relentlessly mock it from start to finish. No one in this movie acts like a real person and the "bullying" is the tamest thing I've ever seen in my life. Imagine a tough angry merciless biker gangster with a spike collar approaching you with a chain.and a menacing look, then imagine a dog walking slowly towards you. This movie would be the dog. I feel bad for the actors for having to put their names on this insufferable "family film."Only watch this if you want to mock it without mercy.

I really can't believe why so many people don't see the point in this movie. This type of thing happens all the time, there are people getting cyberbullied very often. It may not be the same exact situation as in the movie, and it probably isn't, but that doesn't mean that it, "should be thrown in a furnace," some dumbass said. While the quality of the movie overall could be better, the point still gets put out there. Yes, these things happen, and there have been stories of it. Ever heard of Amanda Todd? This happened to her, expect she actually was able to finish committing suicide, and not only that, but it was REAL. Even though the situations are different, it doesn't mean the point isn't there. It's messed up, big time, and the fact that people could actually laugh at this, surprises me, and shocks me. Apparently her trying to open the bottle of pills to overdose was funny, "because she couldn't open it." I don't want to imagine what it's like to have 95% of the people in your life after you and attacking you, verbally. She was in an insane amount of pain and was extremely scared. It's hard to even explain it, she obviously wasn't going to have an easy time doing it. Yes, the movie does have flaws, and the plot can be weird and directed towards ways that would be convenient.In the end, I do think it was too much of a happy ending, and how Samantha and Taylor were all cool again, but someone said that they had harassed Lindsay. They didn't harass her, they STOOD UP against her. The first thing Taylor says is that she should stop what she was doing and realize that her words were hurting people, and then other people that had also been harassed stood up against her. Samantha says to ignore her beforehand, but Taylor says I'm done ignoring them, and she stood up for them. This is a very good example, and I hope that people got that message.Some areas of the movie were iffy, and there were a few bad messages, but there was also quite a few good messages. I don't think it's bad to the point of giving it a 1, because the acting was actually great. Someone mentioned that it was terrible and only the acting of Taylor was, "passable". I found this funny, because she did a very good job in my opinion.Hope you have a good rest of your day.

Looking at the reviews, it seems that this movie is vastly misunderstood. I see lots of complaints coming from people, who thought the plot was realistic, and something like that would never happen in real life.I beg to differ. On the contrary, I thought it was quite believable as this is actually how many a bullying case starts and escalates. I have been there myself and have seen others under similar circumstances. The much hyped about "Mean Girls" - now that was lame and unrealistic.I don't think Emily Osment is particularly talented, though. A far cry from her brother for sure. The main bully (Lindsay) was not very good, either. Wooden, one-dimensional, passive. One of the lousiest performances I've seen in a while; couldn't pass for a bully in a million years. The rest of the cast were fine, though.Well, I didn't really understand Lindsay's motives for going after Tyler. She didn't seem to be interested in Tyler's crush and Tyler never really crossed her in any way, so no real reason for all the hate. Jealously, perhaps? Although, it's not Tyler had anything much for Lindsay to be jealous of really. On the other hand, teens don't need a reason really - many of them will pick on their peers out of boredom / just for fun.I have always believed that it's not about how people treat you, but about how you take it. Some, under the same circumstances, like Tyler, might think it's the end of the world and might, indeed, attempt suicide. Others will brush it off and get on with their lives. Yet others will strike back in an aggressive way. Depends entirely of the individual.This story is about an impressionable girl, for whom this whole thing is a really big deal, so she reacts the way she does. Fine by me. If you would respond in a different way, - great. But it doesn't mean that everyone is the same and doesn't make the movie "unrealistic".And, finally, those, who claim that their friends would never do to them what Tyler's best friend did... Jeez, you haven't seem much of this life, have you? There are thousands of stories of betrayal by friends far worse than the one depicted in "Cyberbully". Take "Odd Girl Out" for instance (a great movie, by the way).All in all, I thought "Cyberbully" was not as bad as most of the reviews suggest.
