Creep 2 Trailers

After finding an ad online for “video work,” Sara, a video artist whose primary focus is creating intimacy with lonely men, thinks she may have found the subject of her dreams. She drives to a remote house in the forest and meets a man claiming to be a serial killer. Unable to resist the chance to create a truly shocking piece of art, she agrees to spend the day with him. However, as the day goes on, she discovers she may have dug herself into a hole from which she can’t escape.

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

Mark Duplass is back as the "Creep", a disarmingly good-natured serial killer with a warped workaday sensibility about what he does for kicks. Hey, man. It's a job.

Keep away if you don't wanna be bored by endless sequences of nothingness. The introductory scene was quite catchy, and I must admit, it left me shuddered. But the rest of the film fell flat: I wasn't scared and neither was I creeped out by anything.I liked the plot. It was intriguing and new. A lot could have been done with the set-up, and instead, what I saw was pretentious serial killer film that tried (and failed) getting under my skin and rattling me up within. The atmosphere, the handheld cameras, the absence of music - these are great tactics, but they don't work unless the script does, or rather, in this case, the sketch of the killer does. Or maybe the film was trying to be art of some other kind, of which I wouldn't know.Creep 2 is an hour and fifteen minutes in length, but unfortunately, to me, it felt a lot longer. If you have anything else to do, do that.

Duplass was a perfect psychopath /sociopath in the first 'Creep', which worked great on various levels, thanks to the claustrophobia, limited setting, lack of music and depending greatly on flawless acting. In this sequel, he looks like he is going to repeat the first trick, on a higher gear, but the chemistry and development between the two lead stars is amazing. Duplass shows more of his background, without giving away too much, or making sure whether he is lying or telling the thruth. He just adds layers and twists, without losing the charm of the first movie. While the series could end after this movie, I hope for a third and final movie.

When I saw that there was a sequel out to the classic original, I was skeptical. Horror sequels usually dilute the formula the first film started with. Villains lose their edge. In fact, they generally become the heroes of the piece, essentially. Think of any slasher movie sequel out there. You don't want the victims to survive. You want the killer to hurry up and get them, preferably in a uniquely violent way."Creep 2" avoids this problem by finding a situation perhaps even more disturbing than the one the original movie used. It's the same set-up, indeed, although it's a woman who is making the movie about the Duplass character this time. The difference is that she might be just as crazy as him.Unlike the first movie, there were parts of "Creep 2" I almost wanted to turn the movie off. It's like taking a trip with two lunatics. The found-footage style only adds to this. The camera doesn't flinch (read: cut) so you are left mesmerised. But do you really want to spend time with these two characters?Part of you does. Admit it.But part of you doesn't.That's the hold this classic sequel exerts over you.
