CORVUS follows a weary yet extraordinary police detective as he pieces together a young woman's murder. The crime reveals itself in a series of moments that allow the detective to see past the facts, and into the story with a strange sense of familiarity.

I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible

The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.

The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

I saw 9 shorts at the Toronto after dark film festival and this was one of them. This was very well shot. But I couldn't really make any sense of the story. It felt a little pretentious thanks to the ending. almost like it should have ended with a "Fin" instead of "The End" showing up. Maybe people with film degrees might get this film. This to me seemed like it could be re-cut to be a perfume advertisement or something with the black and white movie and 1950s clothes styling. The story is told as a first person narrative from the point of view of a detective investigating a death in the woods. It goes from there to show us the actual events leading up to the death. It was OK until the ending, the ending is where they lost me completely. I couldn't tell what it meant. Neither could any of the other people watching the movie in my group. That poor ending killed the whole short for me, which was otherwise well shot and well costumed, with decent acting. Hope to see more of his work in the future perhaps with a more approachable story.
