Let's be realistic.

... View MoreI was rather disappointed with this movie that seemed to have much to offer and I will not subscribe to the 7 average rating it carries here. As some one said before at first it seems to promise much and then it really becomes chaotic and unbelievable, I would add, at time a little boring predictable and definitely too long. As a male gender I did not really got offended or embarrassed by the depiction and generalisation of our gender but thought it was rather unnecessary. And for those who applause the tragic topic of forced prostitution treatment it gives, personally I would have prefer a more serious approach to it as I found, at time, it tended to trivialise it. Yes I did laugh and or became a little curious, but it amazes me how some reviewers turn it into something very special. Ordinary I'm a little biased toward French films "having been French" for more than a quarter of a century, then left France for some 45 years and somehow miss it a little like an old girlfriend! But even this did not help me to see more in this film. I was looking forward to see V Lindon, and C Frot I did admire in other works but here was not really impressed. It was a pleasure to see Line Renaud that I knew and loved only as a singer of my early years. Rachida Brakini does a reasonable job. But somehow the whole is not as good for me as some of part of it.
... View MoreEverything about this film is plastic. The style is stale. The writing is pathetic. I am writing this after I heard Malika tell her life story. Most of the dialogue is inept and the plot is completely inane and Rachida plays a prostitute worse than Julia Roberts. There is nothing unique or even interesting in this film. The characters are either great and courageous (female) or terrible and asinine(male). There is no character development and everything is staged. I don't care about anyone in this film because they act like actors or actresses badly playing their parts. I don't believe anyone in this film. This is one of the worst films I have ever seen. None of these actresses have the skills to pull off a film like this. The film drove me to web surf. The fight scenes are so unbelievable. Finally the conclusion that took forever to arrive. What a load of garbage! No surprises, a lot of preaching, garbage through and through.
... View MoreWhat a wicked gem of a movie! 'Chaos' occurs when a middle-aged Parisian couple driving home from a party become witnesses a young prostitute getting beat up by a band of thugs. They eventually drive off but a connection has been made--the wife will inquire with the hospital and a secret partnership ensues, leading 'Chaos' to a series of chance meetings and conspiracy. If you loved "Thelma and Louise," you'll especially enjoy this one, I believe. It's hard to write a proper review of the movie because so much about it is in the action--high-octane action, that is; combined with real emotion, lots of laughter and a close-up look at the upper-class Parisian lifestyle. 'Chaos' has a 'reality' flair to it, aided in large part by the fact that it was shot in digital format; this is what helps make it such a poignant film in the end. Very real performance by newcomer Rachida Brakhni. Veterans Coline Serreau and Vincent Lindon are right on point with theirs, as always.'Chaos' was so unexpected for me. It's one of my favorite movies of the last few years.
... View MoreChaos is a gem, mostly undiscovered, very smart, every so often I see a movie that is simply great. A great melding of art and entertainment. This movie takes female rage and bonding seriously, but not stridently, very cool movie
