Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.

I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.

I am not a big Care Bears fan, but I do love the 80s TV show and have enjoyed the 80s movie incarnations. Like with Giving Festival and Oopsy Does It!, Care Bears to the Rescue is a decent movie, much better than Journey to Joke-a-Lot but lacking the charm of the show and the 80s movies. I did have mixed feelings on the animation, most of the time its colourful and vibrant but at other times it is gaudy and over-saturated in colour and I still haven't completely warmed to the character designs, not as jerky as Journey to Joke-a-Lot but not as fluid as those of the 80s incarnations. The film is too short, I would have loved it to have been 5 minutes longer at least, and the dialogue is incredibly corny at times. However, while some may find the story and characters on the saccharine and bland side, the story for me does have evidence of cuteness, charm and heart, and the characters are at least engaging. The music is catchy and has an element of whimsy to it, and the voice work is solid. Overall, decent but mixed feelings overall on this outing. 6/10 Bethany Cox
