Bunker Hill Trailers

Peter Salem, a former Wall Street executive recently released from prison, returns to his ex-wife and children in the small town of Bunker Hill, Kansas. Soon after he arrives, the town's electricity and power are shut off, and there is no way to communicate with authorities outside of town. The town's militant past is reawakened and forces coalesce to protect citizens from an unseen enemy. The town's fear leads to the creation of a posse of gunmen, resulting in torture, illegal searches and eventually, murder, against which Salem must stand.

I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible

While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

I was so impressed! I did not know what to expect when I went to the premier in Russell, KS. My family is originally from the Bunker Hill area so I was excited to see familiar landmarks on the "big screen", but I was really taken with film! I was so impressed with the humor and story line! It was original and an interesting mix of people and cultures. Directore, Kevin Willmontt, captured much of the little things that Kansas holds near and dear and portrayed them in a light that made one proud of their home and state. I hope this film goes far, it was a very nice change of pace and made Kansas out to be a little more what it is really like, not just Toto and tornadoes.

Sadly, I have not yet seen this movie but was lucky enough to be on the set during shooting---Actually, the shooting. I'd have to say that seeing Jaffrey and Robbins in action was was great. They both did such a wonderful job. From what I saw on the set I would recommend this movie to anyone looking for good acting and a good story. Although, sometimes I feel stories like this can get a little too self-righteous but I don't think this is the case with this film. I have seen Robbins in several scenes and play readings and I know he enjoyed making this film. I hope I get a chance to see this film one day.Thank you for reading.

Kevin Willmott's new film is a great mix of contemporary politics and reinvented western iconography in a true "American movie." BUNKER HILL examines post 911 society via a small Kansas town that is gripped by fear, prejudice, violence and paranoia. Sly echoes of Rod Serling, Sam Fuller, blacksploitation flicks and even TV's Gunsmoke abound. Saeed Jaffrey steals the movie as Mr. Farook, an Indian immigrant with a love for American westerns and six shooters. Beautiful landscapes and an excellent supporting cast back up James McDaniel who plays a troubled urban man who becomes a modern western hero. Red State meets Blue State. Main Street becomes Front Street. Cowboy hats. Horses. Big emotions. Showdown and all.
