Blood Junkie Trailers

A hyper-hipster 1980s horror comedy about a group of teenagers that discover a mysterious abandoned building where bad things happen. Shot in Wisconsin for $6000, Blood Junkie is a refreshing new vision in DIY independent film making.

The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.

Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.

It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.

Two awesome guys take two awesome girls and a less awesome little brother on a camping trip. Once there things go awry as our friends are introduced to the Blood Junkie. This movie is made in that 80's style. Cheesy dialogue, hideous fashions, Rad synth music and mullets matched with feeble moustaches. The look of the film also carries that 80's theme complete with that grainy scratchy look we can all remember. It reproduces this look better than any of the slew of 'Grindhouse' styled movies released in the last few years. There are some genuinely funny moments in this movie. The dialogue has that purposely badly written feel to it which generated several laughs. The various montages had me chuckling too, in particular when the two awesome dudes celebrate bagging a date with the girls. Cue Slow motion dancing in the bedroom including some truly wonderful mullet swinging. The plot isn't the greatest but in keeping with the style it perfectly suits the movie. There is a twist ending that doesn't quite work when you think about it but I enjoyed the rest of the movie so much that I didn't care.If you go into watching this movie expecting Citizen Kane you'll be disappointed, but hey it's called Blood Junkie so that shouldn't happen anyway. If you're looking for a great pizza night movie then I fully recommend Blood Junkie. I loved it.
