It had been a long time since I watched this movie, and I finally got to refresh my memory. I loved this movie ever since I was a kid, and it's still funny. Moranis and Arnold were perfect together. When David Leary was a kid, he was constantly bullied by Ross Bigger (Fang) When David and his family moves away, he tells the police that Ross stole a moon rock. Years later, David and his son return to town and David becomes the new creative writing teacher. He finds out that Ross is also a teacher at the same school and continues to bully him again. David soon realizes that he must stop running and face his demon once and for all. I highly recommend BIG BULLY!!!

Did Rick Moranis's movie career end with this monstrosity called Big Bully? Haven't heard from him since. In this one he plays a writer who got bullied as a child and then gets even with the bully and moves out of town to the west coast. Then in the long run he gets a teaching job opportunity in his hometown only to be tormented by his old nemesis all over again. Now he has a kid who's a bully and his tormenter has a kid who's the bullied? This was supposed to be funny? If anything, it's depressing! Who in their right mind would want to go back to their hometown especially if they've been an outcast or had bad memories when they lived there? Totally unrealistic if you ask me. What was a respected comedian like Don Knotts doing in a movie like this? Then at the end they move to New York with the bully and his family in tow. Well, ha ha! Don't show this movie to your kids. Stay away from Big Bully even if you've been bullied a lot as a child. Big Bully I heard won some Razzie Awards, it certainly deserved it. It's just a sad travesty that passes itself off as a family movie. If you want to see Rick Moranis in his prime, then see "Spaceballs" or "Little Shop of Horrors". And in the meantime I think we can only hope Big Bully gets sent to the garbage incinerator right where it belongs!

Rick Moranis used to be a popular star but it was probably with this film that he suddenly wandered into "where is he now" status. Tom Arnold is his costar in this part one of his horrible starring vehicles trilogy (which would later consist of "Carpool" and "The Stupids"). The really silly and not as funny as it might sound plot has to do with grown man Moranis moving back to his old hometown and still being intimidated by his old grade school nemesis (Arnold). Seeing these two grown men act like children throughout the film is more stupid than funny and what could have been an interesting premise if there was more comedic power in the script sudddenly turns into a huge mess.

David Leary was bullied by Rosco Bigger a.k.a. Fang as a kid. He gets even with Rosco the day he rats him out after he stole the "moon rock". Soon enough David gets his chance to really get even when his parents tell him he's moving. Some years later David(played by Rick Moranis) is grown up and has a son. He returns to his hometown and discovers that Rosco(Tom Arnold) grown up too. Rosco remembers David and soon all hell breaks lose.I don't understand why it is that people hate this movie. Come on, it's hilarious. Tom Arnold has never been funnier. I think it's kind of strange that David was a victim growing up and now his son is a bully and Rosco was a bully growing up and that his son is a victim. 10/10
