As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.

Juliana Paes is a sizzling Brazilian actress and this movie plays to her strengths without crossing over into nudity. Sometimes Juliana is preening for effect and at other times she manages to inject some heart and compassion into her lines.Dean Cain does his best to support Paes. He is supposed to look like a typical man who is overly impressed by the sexy lady and therefore looks a little clumsy. In the romantic moments he holds up his end but doesn't shine. It is a pleasant enough love story and of course we know how it has to end. There are really no twists or surprises. However the ending doesn't totally make sense since it never explains how Ana will get the money she needs to pay her debt, but who knows, maybe the place is worth enough to mortgage it. Also, she leaves abruptly and must still think that Jake is making up to his wife and that she may no longer be the ex, but Ana comes back anyway. Maybe we are supposed to believe she came back for love of the countryside. It's a romance story, so those frequently don't make sense.

Sorry folks - this movie is written for immature eight grade boys. The whole movie revolves around kissing scenes and staring at the parts of the lead actress. I am surprised that Dean Cain took the role of this cheesy low rent movie. I would not waste your time, unless you are an immature eight grade boy, but even then with all the other films out there - you too would be bored.I am not quite sure why they make movies like this one, unless they have a quota or something. I guess it was supposed to be funny and cute, so if you only had two choices and the other one was reruns of The Andy Griffith Show - I would watch Andy, Opie, and Barney - much more entertaining.

Dean Cain brightens up anything he's in, but he couldn't save this poorly written mess. There was an idea here with some potential. However, evidently the writer was a 10 year old who has never been out of the house. Virtually no one's actions in the film ring true. There is a lot of law involved, and none of it is even CLOSE to being right. Situations that the writer and director hoped would be zany and funny are just contrived and awkward.Characters who are meant to be funny caricatures are just annoying. Bill Engvall is completely wasted. Eric Roberts is tragically miscast as a gay hotel reviewer. Juliana Paes seems uncomfortable and insincere in most of her scenes. Julia Duffy is underused. This film is a waste of everyone's time.

Pseudoactor and TV presenter, Marcio Garcia directs his first feature film. The film lacks script, directing and acting. The last scene - a displaced product placement - in which Mr Garcia acts is something to be remembered - because it is the most embarrassing moment in the recent film history. Juliana Paes is very famous in Brazil because she played an Indian in a soap opera, and Dean Cain (Dean who?) is virtually unknown after his superman TV show was canceled so many years ago. The movie was one of the biggest BO disappointments last year in Brazil - thanks heaven people still have sense. Because of that it is a shock that Mr GArcia found anyone to put money in a new film.
