... View MoreWhile this film was filled with great performances, it felt a bit too much like impersonation at points. The plot and characters were compelling enough, but the final effect felt just a little...flat. Did they capture the moment? The 70s? The significance? Sure. I just should have cared a little more. This was one of those moments when a documentary might have made more sense.
... View MoreThis was more about Billie Jean King struggling with her sexuality and trying to keep it a secret from her husband, sponsors, and fans, and less about women's rights and pay equality. Her husband was very understanding and patient with Billie which i found surprising. An ok movie the acting was good but i was reading a book at the same time so it didn't really hold my attention.
... View MoreBATTLE OF THE SEXES- 94% What a wonderful movie that kept me attached till the end. The story itself is a staggering one and the cinematography really boosted the movies emotion. Emma stone did such an amazing job playing the lead role. Battle of the Sexes has a much deeper story than a tennis game between a sexist and a feminist. The screenplay was also very well executed. The ending was the definition of perfection. I wasn't expecting it to be nearly as good as it was. Story wise and execution: 33.0/35 Acting: 24/25 Camera Work: 19.4/20 Sound: 17.6/20
