I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

... View MoreAfter reading the comparatively bad reviews on this film I decided to buy it and give it a watch, I didn't expect much.Oh man was I wrong! One of the most enjoyable UK low budget movies I've seen in a long time, it had humour, interesting characters and very, very reverting storyline, bad movie? No way!!!! Well, the story wasn't original because it was a homage to the US cop movies. The action didn't quite blow me off my seat but it was good enough, love the fight between Donna Air and Claire Goose. Claire Goose was awesome in this roll killing people and working her way to the truth. Great twist at the end! Anthony Ofoegbu makes his debut I think, and does so convincingly, he was fun as the seen it, done it all cop, I was surprised at Donna Air's performance, she wasn't that bad, in fact she was really good, very believable. My guess is she had a good director behind her. Should you see this film? Yep! It's well directed by Ian David Diaz, with his visual style and mood he made something that kept me watching till the end. I was surprised! 9/10

View MoreUK Low budget movies are usually crap in fact they are an easy target to slag off because most of them are rubbish, Bad Day is not rubbish in fact Bad Day is one of the best UK low budget film I've seen in ages. Bad Day is excellently paced and brings a great deal of realism to the cop genre. The fight sequences are brutal and believable and the character of Rebecca Ryan is vulnerable and easy to identify with.Claire Goose plays the role with apparent ease; she simply slips into the character and brings her to life, as cop thrillers go Bad Day one of the best around. I will not give away the twists and turns but will encourage you to rent or buy this movie why? Because take it from me it is well worth your time. The fact that no one got paid makes this movie more remarkable, the locations, the photography, (by Alan Dunlop) the direction, the script, the editing (by Ian David Diaz) and the performances are all top notch. Anthony Ofoegbu is brilliant as the burnt out cop as is the rookie cop Donna Air, (yes Donna Air!). Others that deserve a mention are Tom Bacon, George Calil, Riana Husselman and Sarah Harding, (brief but fun).Everything about this film makes me believe that we brits can make a good movie, it's not perfect but it's really entertaining.
... View MoreFirst thing to say is, this is a cool movie from beginning to end. The fight between Claire Goose & Donna Air was well done and the whole film is interesting and great to watch. The movie has a similar plot to other action cop thrillers, but you'll never know the outcome, it is the journey that's really great in this movie. It is the way Claire Goose's character does what she does, the way that she fights, kills and overcomes problems that pulls you into the movie and this is what makes this movie so great to watch.Claire Goose is great as the main character, she delivers an outstanding performance. I love to see an actor that can portray themselves in anyway, a good guy or a bad guy and in this film she fights to find her daughter's killer and she will not stop for anything.I loved this movie so much and had great fun watching it. If you love cop movies you must see this movie. All i can say is watch it, love it, go and buy it!
... View MoreThis film has a reasonable story and is a decent enough action-filled romp. However, the dialogue is truly awful in places. The casting of Donna Air as a policewoman was a truly awful decision. She did not look at all believable in this role. Some of the acting is third rate.Victoria Broom and the police chief's performances were particularly poor, I thought. Claire Goose's performance, on the other hand, was very good and really quite believable.A 6 is pretty generous here.Lectureral
