... View MoreA terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
... View MoreRunning at roughly 75 minutes, Daniel Liatowitsch's documentary `Avatars Offline' gave a delightful and entertaining look at how non-gamers perceive our strange hobby, how we perceive it and more importantly how it affects our lives.`Avatars' begins by asking some non-gamers questions about RPGs in general and then more specifically online RPGs. Most of the answers were very humorous and earned the laugh they got. Then he moves on to a more serious tone. The documentary talks about how people have met each other online, and how they've interacted both through the internet and real life with those people, as well as the affects those relationships have on their everyday life all the while maintaining a light hearted feel that actually makes you proud to be a gamer geek.Appearances are made by:Brad McQuaid Jeff Butler Nick `Glip' Parkinson Cindy Archuleta (Fan Faire Organizer) Greg `Baelish' Short (CastersRealm) Scott `Lum the Mad' Jennings Woody Hearn (/Gu Comics -- his story actually made some people cry).as well as many others.I really can't say much more without going over every detail of the picture. But its safe to say that I don't think one person left disappointed. I know I certainly didn't. I expected it to be good, but I was surprised at how well it was put together and how entertaining it was.
