Egoyan argues that although most filmmakers do not consciously attempt to make viewers non-spectators as Godard did with Brectian distancing techniques, we have become post-spectators as a by-product of the way we use technology in the 21st-century. The short film was first presented as one of the films in Chacun son Cinema (To Each His Cinema), but has also been exhibited as a separate film.
