Apoorvaragam Trailers

Apoorvaragam is the story of three youngsters Roopesh (Nishan), Nancy (Nithya) and Tommy (Asif Ali). Roopesh has always been in love with Nancy, but has never had the nerve to express it. For Nancy, love is something that is beyond words. Tommy is the perfect Cupid, who would make things happen for these two. After a lot of unexpected happenings and dramatic twists, it is proven that only true love can endure.

The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.

According to me there is no Sibi Malayil touch in this movie. The story is good, but the two main male characters lack skills in many scenes. Could find some flaws in scripting too, especially in the dramatic entry scene of Asif Ali and his friend in the engagement function. The music is fine; Athira raavu bit is well used as the background. I am a die hard fan of Sibi Malayil and feel he could have a better job in selecting the scenes and dialogue presentations in Apoorvaragam. Hope the crew members of this film would take my comments in a positive way. Sibi Malayil Sir, I am waiting for your next movie Violin. :)

I haven't seen a such a twisting malayalam movie these days. Sibi Malayil's new film with youngsters Nishan & Aasif Ali wouldn't dissappoint the viewers. The starting of the movie would make us think that it is a typical love story that Kerala has witnessed over the past 5 - 10 years!. But trust me, its not that kind of a film. The twist is not easily predictable and the most important thing is that - it has more than one twist which makes us feel as we are on a roller-coaster ride during the 2nd half of the movie. Aasif Ali has done well in this film along with the main actress (though I don't know her name). However, Nishans seems like acting without any serious expressions at a few occasions during the film. We wouldn't need to talk about anything seriously about the direction of this movie as it has been done by veteran Sibi Malayil. I found this movie very interesting with twists malayalam cinema haven' t witnessed before. I would give it 7 out of 10. Just go for it!

'Apoorvam' literally translated into English would mean rare. 'Apoorva Ragam', Siby Malayil's new film, and the one that marks his twenty fifth year in films to boost; claims to play an atypical melody.Roopesh (Nishan) and Tommy (Asif Ali) are best friends and college mates. When Roopesh realizes that Nancy (Nithya) has created quite a flutter in his heart, Tommy is only glad to play Cupid between the two. For the couple, the future looks all bleak, since Nancy's millionaire dad wouldn't dream of marrying her off to a struggler. Tommy suggests the only way out; get married without daddy's consent. To Nancy's utter dismay she learns much later that her starstruck lover & his friends have a different identity & a lot different goals in life from what she earlier believed ...Apoorva Ragam' banks heavily on its shock value than a plain sensibility that could have made it a more agreeable movie.Hence instead of judiciously driving the tale forward, it wastes its time cooking up kicks and jolts that quickly burst this balloon with one jab after the next. In short, it's a classic case of too many twists spoiling the script.Of the young performers, Nithya wins hands down, and with a remarkable performance that follows that short-but-sweet act in 'Kerala Café' proves beyond doubt that she's here to stay. Nishan and Asif are quite adequate, but they simply pale in comparison to the young girl.
