Wow! What a bizarre film! Unfortunately the few funny moments there were were quite overshadowed by it's completely weird and random vibe throughout.

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

Loser Thomas Pearson is sent to a house in Albany with his family for the summer. During a storm, he and his cousin, jake meet 4 aliens who apparently do not come in peace and attack them. In order to get rid of them, they trust one and team up with Hannah, Bethany, and every other kid in tom's family to kill or at least get rid of the monsters and return home safely. Aliens in the Attic will be a huge hit with small children below the age of 10 but for older kids and definitely their parents? It will feel like a boring made for tv film with alot of genre cliches and bad cgi.

Aliens in the Attic (2009): Dir: John Schultz / Cast: Carter Jenkins, Austin Robert Butler, Ashley Tisdale, Doris Roberts, Kevin Nealon: Capturing a possible childhood nightmare is reduced to special effects that are about as fetching as dog snot. An alien invasion begins within the attic of the Pearson vacation home and a band of kids struggle to ward them off. Directed by John Schultz with a ridiculous screenplay filled with kiddie violence. Terrible acting performances by Carter Jenkins who constantly bares the same dull expression. He is the hero who must prove himself because he is always in trouble. He must have been in very big trouble to get stuck in a film this awful. Austin Robert Butler plays his equally terrible sidekick who takes stupid risks. Starring in this film should sum up a pretty big career risk. Ashley Tisdale appears in what amounts to promotional value only. She sits poolside while her creep boyfriend makes plans to bed her. Then she complains when Jenkins and Butler play nasty pranks on him. Doris Roberts plays the grandmother in perhaps her most embarrassing role as she ends up possessed and in a martial arts fight against Tisdale's possessed boyfriend. Kevin Nealon wastes his comic talent in this laughless garbage. Had the production sparkled then children might have enjoyed it. Unfortunately it is pointless guck that should be locked in an attic. Score: 2 / 10

I liked this movie, but only for character growth. The aliens were clearly smart, but not at all believable. How is it that the young engineer knew better English than an experienced commander and soldiers? And he only knew good English until he fell into the little girl's room, then he started to just copy what they said! The girl alien was in my opinion, the best ET. She is smart, capable and a good soldier. The human characters were the best part, of course. They have it all, controlling parents, a stupid boyfriend, a confident teen girl, gamer twins, a pyromaniac cousin, grandma, a seemingly drunk guy, a mathlete who wants to be cool but ends up saving the world instead and to tie it all together, an adorable little girl who is friends with one of the enemy kind. That is what every movie needs, but not what this toned-down alien invasion deserves. I mean, "the invasion is cancelled! Head home!" Is that not the worst line ever said by an alien?

This movie is terrible! I'm a 14 year old and I really like sci-fi comedy and some children's titles, but this is pure garbage! The film's aliens are non-original and as flat and annoying as any other character in this dreadful Kid's trash movie and should be a video game as opposed to a 45 million dollar feature. I view the film as anyother kid's trash that's coming out now-adays such as: G-Force, Diary Of A Wimpy Kid,and this are all Troma's equivalent of Children's genre. I also saw a trailer for Mr.Popper's penguins, and it looked as bad as this! But when it all comes down to it, ONLY BUY THIS MOVIE IF YOU HAVE KIDS AND ARE A STAY-AT-HOME MOM! That's all!*_*
