The first must-see film of the year.
... View MoreGreat story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.
... View MoreGreat example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
... View MoreYes, absolutely, there is fun to be had, as well as many, many things to go boom, all amid an atmospheric urban jungle.
... View MoreThis movie would only be a 20-minute short if not for the multiple establishing shots and repeated scenes of Jules grooming and riding the horse. And it'd still be too long. Yes, it's a kids' movie but kids deserve better than this drivel.
... View MoreThe horse shouldn't be randomly wearing a halter and lead rope (not safe), the rider isn't showing safe mounting nor any riding ability whatsoever (such as feet being positioned wrong so she'd be hung up if he spooked), and the horse needs his teeth floated. The horse was eating grain with the lead rope being chewed in his mouth and sometimes with a hackamore as well. He also isn't a pony nor has he ever been. Some of the time lapses make it seem like it has been several days but the movie only spans one day. She rides the horse multiple times after he says his leg is sore. Scenes where she is with someone, they don't show the person just her constantly brushing, saddling, and pretending she can ride. Acting like the person with her doesn't exist. Every 5 minutes or so there is a minute of scenery. Again, next time you cast someone riding, get them lessons first.
... View MoreThis movie was a great family film with a lot of hilarious parts. I highly recommend it. The acting was not the greatest, and the plot was somewhat predictable, but it was generally good overall. It was also comforting to know that there remain some movies with a wholesome message that are safe to be viewed by the entire family. I was a bit frightened at first that the concept of a talking horse might be blasphemous and frighten my children, but in the end that fear was unfounded, and like me, they found it quite hilarious. I would recommend this movie to anyone - not only animal lovers. I mean who wouldn't want to see a Talking Horse, there is a reason Mr. Ed has remained relevant all these years. Frankie
