Yawn. Poorly Filmed Snooze Fest.

... View MoreSomeone gave me this movie, it has different angles, one is the struggle between the heart (feelings) and mind (doing the right thing)Some things never change in the heart. Interesting movie.I liked it. A young girl married to an older man who seems to have a normal life until the ex-lover shows up after a decade, then the wife who has been married for 10 years to the older husband because she had no choice, wants to fly away leaving everything after the lover insisted her over and over to go away with him. And when she had made her mind, the lover changed his mind by taking the right decision of leaving the past in the past and move on.Good to watch it, you may discover that you've gone through some of those moments when you had to listen your mind instead of your heart. The classic circle of life for some.

View More"A Place to Grow" is a hokey, woefully stereotypical representation of the American Midwest, brought to us by the surprisingly racist and antisemitic writer, producer, and director Merlin Miller, who also happened to be 2012's presidential nominee for the American Third Position Party. All politics aside though, the movie is a clichéd bit of Midwest feel-good melodrama, featuring the "talents" of singers Gary Morris and the late Boxcar Willie in perhaps what should remain their only acting roles. Though the cover proudly boasts a performance by Wilford Brimley (indeed, one of the few palatable aspects of the film), he's given very little screen time to do anything with his role—and even less in the script. However, if one truly good thing can be said about this mostly unfortunate production, it is a fine young performance by Nikki Dunaway as Laura Shuler in her only known screen credit. Shuler not only carries her own weight, she even occasionally picks up the slack when her adult counterparts fall flat. That aside, even hardcore Midwest, or more specifically Southwest Missouri, loyalists should best avoid this turkey. Most of it isn't worth the celluloid.

... View MoreHere is an excellent "farm family" movie centered around the life & ideas of a 10 yr. old girl. She learns the values of her parents who believe in caring for the land & not destroying it with some of the more modern farming methods. Another man who enters her life becomes very important to her. A surprise ending also gives an element of suspense to this great heart-warming film.
