A Perfect Getaway Trailers

For their honeymoon, newlyweds Cliff and Cydney head to the tropical islands of Hawaii. While journeying through the paradisaical countryside the couple encounters Kale and Cleo, two disgruntled hitchhikers and Nick and Gina, two wild but well-meaning spirits who help guide them through the lush jungles. The picturesque waterfalls and scenic mountainsides quickly give way to terror when Cliff and Cydney learn of a grisly murder that occurred nearby and realize that they're being followed by chance acquaintances that suspiciously fit the description of the killers.

When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.

It’s sentimental, ridiculously long and only occasionally funny

A perfect getaway is a decent enough film and if nothing else you can enjoy the Hawaiin scenery, but I found the twist way before I should have and upon reading other people's accounts it seems like the director should have been more discreet. I will not spoil anything of course but the basic premise is about a couple who go to a Hawaiin retreat and meet another couple with a shady temperament. Steve Zahn, Milla Jovovich and Timothy Olyphant are all good actors and give fine performances, but the script is a letdown. Oh well, you will surely love the gorgeous tropical locations.

Honestly this was the worst movie I ever ever seen. The story doesn't make any sense. A couple scared of killers all the time, and then it comes - they are the killers themselves. It doesn't make any sense and I still can't believe that such a story ended as a movie.

Two pairs of lovers on a Hawaiian vacation discover that psychopaths are stalking and murdering tourists on the islands. A Perfect Getaway (2009) is one of those rare good movies that go straight up to DVD and their actually pretty clever you know? This film keeps you guessing for who the actual killers are and once it finally gets revealed although it did came across my mind it was still a clever twist overall, the cast does a really great job especially the 4 main leads Milla Jovovich, Steve Zahn, Timothy Olyphant and Kiele Sanchez. Plus you also get a small but interesting first look to Chris Hemsworth in this movie 2 years before he became 'The God of Thunder'. The suspense hits the roof, the action is well edited and the characters alongside the actors do a pretty good job and although the movie dragged in some parts it still was able to deliver with that very smart twist in the end and personally i think you won't be disappointed by this film. (8/10)

I would have rated it higher as the location is amazing. The action is pretty good other than the fact you have to wait until the end for any real action. The plot holes that were created by the writer were immediately obvious as soon as the credits begin to role and you think back on Act1 and 2 scenes that mislead you. Cheating by purposely misleading the viewer does not make for a good twist. It just makes you question was it due to a sloppy rewrite, running out of budget once filming began and not being able to re-shoot scenes, or change the script to support the twist...Anyone that pays attention to the movie will realize they were cheated. Things could have been improved with a little effort and it would have easily been an excellent movie. If you don't have many other choices on a late Saturday, give it a view and weigh in on how much the misleading twist disturbs you :-) .
