This movie is the proof that the world is becoming a sick and dumb place

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.

It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...

First saw this on TV when I was 10 years old & by Christ it scared the living sh*t out of me! So much so, I didn't sleep for an entire night because of it!I then didn't watch it after a while until it came back on TV again. Though I was older, it still scared me! And even now as I'm currently writing this review I find it to be one of the best A Haunting Documentaries I've seen! Unlike the actual TV Series under the same name (sort of), this one has a good grip on you til the end, & even after the credits roll, it never seems to leave you, it's that sinister & chilling! The story is about a family who move from New York to up state Connecticut to treat their son who has cancer so he can be closer to the hospital treating him. The find a house thinking it's the perfect home & so much so can't believe how good it is until... they find the basement which holds clues to the homes past as it being a funeral parlour. But the worst is yet to come as the find it's haunted by demonic spirits who once ran the home as a morchery. The story is based off true events, though names & such were changed. I saw A Haunting in Georgia before this & thought it was pretty creepy, though when this came on straight after, terror hit me! Most notably, the shower scene is one of the most terrifying things I'd ever seen in my life, it still gives me the chills of fear! But the demon & everything else were also pretty scary. The music & narration really added to the film also & gave it a unnerving & spooky undertone! I overall thought this was a terrifying Documentary/Film. I'd give this a 9/10 as it truly was & still is, one of the most chilling & scariest Documentary's ever made!

I went to the gym last week. I flipped on the TV for background noise, with no intention of actually watching TV. This documentary happened to be on. I overheard some of the dialouge during my first set. It made me curious, so I started watching a bit. 45 min later, and with 5 other people who had joined me, we had all abandoned our work-outs. We were glued to the TV. I'm not a fan of horror or suspense movies. I am generally a skeptic about the supernatural. I do not believe in God. However, something about this show really, really got to me (and the 5 other people at the gym!). It was the most well done, and scariest account of a co-called haunting that I have ever come across.

I made the mistake of seeing this at night, cause after I saw it, I did not sleep at all, I stayed up all night watching t.v.It took a lot to recover from this scary Documentary.Anyway, seeing that this is just an ordinary 3 story house with low rent, beautiful furnishings, large kitchen, 2 upstairs bed rooms, 2 upstairs bathrooms, a larger living room, and a 2 room basement. I thought, nothing can be too scary in this house, but boy was I wrong. It scared me to death, I couldn't help but feel sorry for those living in the house. Seeing that ghost calling Paul's name was scary, but the worst parts were seeing him trap Karen in the shower, drive a truck and almost crushing Ed to death, and standing on the stairs giving a camera man a head on attack. At that moment, I just wanted to scream. Seeing that ghost's face just from and then seeing his mouth smirk, and then turn into a fireball, was enough to knock me out of my chair. After seeing this, I saw The Shining, and The Shining is no where near as scary as this terrifying documentary. I do not recommend watching this, unless you want the living daylights scared out of you. Seeing this haunted me for some time. I am now over it, but I know that I will never see this documentary again. One watch was enough.Do Not Watch This, Unless You Are Willing To See The Shining, The Haunting, and be willing to get scared to the death, cause this documentary will haunt you for some time.

I saw this episode on discovery channel last night. Just before I was going to sleep, a very bad decision. Switching from one channel to another, I was thinking maybe discovery channel will air a supernatural show and voila, there it was. Watching it was absolutely terrifying, I could not change the channel, because I had to see the ending. Actually, from the moment the mother was mopping the floor, I was hooked. But definitely worth the while. Although I did not sleep well, the terror kept haunting me (so to speak).I think it will stay with me for sometime, and it's good to read the comments of other viewers. Unlike some of you I don't like horror movies or suspension thrillers (it scares me so much, it's not pleasant anymore), unless I know in advance there worth watching, like the 'Sixt Sense' and 'Unbreakable'. Also very impressive, but at least there were based on fiction. 'Unbreakable' also gave a feeling about what true evil looks like. Something I never hope to experience personally! In short, a very impressive documentary, I reward it with a 9.
