Best movie of this year hands down!

The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.

The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

I guess it's pretty difficult to pull one like this out of the hat. Badly acted, terribly directed, boring script. A fully flawed flick. Trying to save something out of the total mess: the girl killing Trevor is quite a remarkable surprise.As for the rest, there's nothing to say or to see. Maybe one of the most disturbing things is that when you shoot on video (and I mean, a video camera incapable of doing anything but video-looking-video) what you get is so plain, that, if you don't have a good story to tell, you better think about any other hobby.I know I'm harsh, but there's no way to deal with something so bad as this video. The colour timing is absolutely out of whack... audio is unbearable most of the time. Holy cow! There's nothing to get out of this thing but disappointment. We shouldn't let these kind of careless productions to be shown. So, for just making it (there was a lot of effort, I concede, I give you one point.

I hope I could give it a zero. I do not think even the creators of the movie could sit through the movie. Unbearable! The acting is the poorest I have ever seen. The camera work is so awful I don't believe I can even begin to describe! Music and sound is so terrible you feel like a couple of teenagers took a camera and started filming with no sound editing! The dialogs in the movie are so bad. They keep repeating the same line over and over again. The main character keeps saying: you saved my a** like ten times. There is also no coherence in the dialogs. When I was suffering through the movie it was like it really was the end of the world! Real hell on earth! While watching it the time literally stopped and that is the only magical thing the movie does. I cannot recommend watching it to anyone. Worst movie ever.Couldn't sit through the whole movie.

-- Part of a sentence towards the end of this review could be considered a minor spoiler--This movie seems to be getting a lot of hate, but let me say that I for one really enjoyed it. Sure the suspense aspect might be a little high for some people, but it is after all a horror flick and you've got to expect that going in.Throughout the film I found close parallels to the movie The Crazies, 28 Days Later, the Ring, and the current TV show The Walking Dead. In fact some of the special effects rival those of Hollywood's A-list films.The acting was really pretty good, with Jody Barton brandishing some of the finest acting skills to hit the big screen this year. In fact I'm sure we'll be seeing plenty more of him in the near future.Other notables include the sweet and inquisitive, then thirteen-year-old Tiffany Martinez who plays Kendra. Unfortunately we don't get to see enough of her, due in part to a somewhat awkward break up she initiates with her older boyfriend just a few minutes into the start of the film.All things considered, I'd say pop some corn and invite your friends. This is a good horror flick for true die-hard horror fans - and one I highly recommend.BTO III 14/04/05

How do I come up with a film like this? My friend recommends it. I am so sorry I wasted my time on this. I thought Hollywood can make only the good movies. I am so wrong on that. They find the money for a bad film like this. How? It would been better to give it to me, I would use it in a better manner. It is like a very bad copy of World War Z. Really bad copy!I only could say more bad things about this film but I hope I filled my 10 lines required by IMDb who really should rethink this minimum 10 line policy.Please use your time better then to watch this. Yuck!
